Identifying fire safety deficiencies is one thing. Having the expertise to help resolve them is another. Alongside our safety inspection reports which assess fire compliance obligations under the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008, we offer a range of practical services to help body corporates work towards and maintain their fire safety obligations.
Queensland legislation requires building evacuation procedures to be practised regularly. We can act as evacuation coordinator for your scheme, reviewing your existing arrangements, facilitating the evacuation practice, and ensuring the exercise meets the requirements of the BFSR 2008.
This takes the burden off the committee and ensures the practice is run by someone who knows what the regulation actually requires.
Every relevant building must have a current, compliant fire and evacuation plan. We prepare clear, legislation-compliant fire and evacuation plans tailored to your specific building layout and occupancy, ready for display and use in an emergency.
Evacuation diagrams are a separate requirement to the fire and evacuation plan, they need to be displayed throughout the building and must accurately reflect current exit routes and assembly points. We prepare and install high quality evacuation diagrams suitable for display in common areas and accomodation units.
We can fulfil the statutory Fire Safety Advisor (FSA) role for your scheme where required under the BFSR 2008. This includes providing the body corporate with the advice and support needed to manage its ongoing fire safety obligations.
